Jan Ernst de Groot, a 48-year-old Dutchman, previously worked for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in various management positions. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Member of the Board of Management of KLM. He was also responsible for the successful development and implementation of KLM's sustainability strategy. Before joining KLM, Mr De Groot worked as an attorney in the Corporate law and M&A section of a major Dutch law firm.
