Amsterdam. Job C.W. van Harmelen (37) has been appointed Director Corporate Communication of TNT Express, the global express delivery company, effective as of May 1, 2011. The past three years, he headed TNT N.V.’s Group Internal Communication department. Job van Harmelen has worked for TNT since 2004, first as an external consultant. He started his career in 1995 in the External Relations department of the Nyenrode University, before co-founding the Dutch research and consulting firm MeyerMonitor.

Amsterdam, 14 April 2011 – In anticipation of the demerger of the Express Business from TNT N.V., on 21 February 2011 TNT N.V. presented its full year 2010 results in a ‘new’ format. Subsequent results will also be presented in this format.

Today, the agendas for the 2011 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) and the prospectus for the separate listing of TNT’s Express business are made public. The demerger documentation will also be filed. Furthermore, TNT Express N.V. today received its conditional post-demerger credit rating from Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s.

In anticipation of its upcoming shareholders’ meeting, at which shareholders can vote on the demerger of Express, TNT NV has today finalised its demerger preparations. The formal filing of the demerger proposal and the publication of the AGM/EGM agenda will be next week. The issuance of the Express prospectus, subject to approval of the prospectus by the Dutch Financial Authority (AFM), will also be next week.
