TNT applies for Authorised Economic Operator status - First express integrator to apply for new EU customs security standard
Amsterdam, TNT, Europe's largest express services company, will apply for the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status for all its customs related, express services operations in the 27 EU countries. Working with an AEO, a new standard created by the European Commission, will benefit customers in several ways: TNT will receive priority treatment at European customs when agents inspect shipments; faster movement of goods through third country borders where the AEO status is recognised; reduced data sets for entry and exit summary declarations. TNT and its clients would thereby benefit from fewer delayed shipments, reduced theft or vandalism, and improved communication between supply chain partners.

TNT completes its euro 200 million tranche of share buyback programme and starts a second euro 100 million tranche today
Amsterdam, Further to the share buyback programme announced on 30 July 2007 and a first euro 200 million tranche execution announced on 09 November 2007, TNT N.V. announces that this first tranche was completed on 04 January 2008. Starting today TNT will engage in a second euro 100 million tranche, as announced on 06 December 2007.
